Privacy Policy

What personal data is handled when you visit this site, get in touch or work with Luís Moreira, what for, and how you control it. Last updated: 2 November 2026.

Who is responsible

The controller of your data is Luís Moreira, videographer and photographer, self-employed (trabalhador independente), working from Porto, Portugal.

For anything about your data: luis@luis-moreira.com or +351 913 783 366.

What data, and why

When you get in touch

By email, WhatsApp, Instagram or phone: your name, the contact details you use and what you write about the project. It is used to reply and prepare a quote, as steps taken at your request before a contract (GDPR, article 6(1)(b)). The form on this site sends nothing by itself: it only writes an email in your own email app, which goes nowhere unless you send it.

When we work together

What the project and invoicing need: your name or company, tax number and address. It is used to carry out the contract and meet tax obligations (GDPR, article 6(1)(b) and (c)).

When you visit the site

The site is served by Cloudflare, which handles your IP address and technical details of each request (browser, page, time) to deliver the pages and protect them from abuse, on the basis of legitimate interest (GDPR, article 6(1)(f)). There are no visitor statistics, no profiles and no advertising.

People in the pictures

Everyone who appears in the videos and photographs (models, talent, guests) does so on the terms agreed for each project, with the client or directly. If you appear in work shown here and want it taken down, write to luis@luis-moreira.com.

Who else sees it

Your data is never sold or used for advertising. Only the providers the work depends on handle it:

Cloudflare

Hosts the site and the videos. It may process data outside the European Union, under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.

Email and accounting

The email provider, to receive and keep messages, and the certified accountant, for invoicing.

WhatsApp and Instagram

If you choose to get in touch there, those conversations also pass through Meta, under its own privacy policies.

How long it is kept

Enquiries that don’t become a project are deleted at most two years after the last contact. Invoicing records are kept for ten years, as Portuguese tax law requires. Cloudflare’s technical logs are short-lived.

Your rights

You can ask to see your data, correct or delete it, restrict or object to its use, or take a copy with you, by writing to luis@luis-moreira.com. You will get an answer within one month.

If you think your data has been mishandled, you can complain to the Portuguese data protection authority, the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD).

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version is published on this page, with the date at the top.
